COVID-19 Precautions*

Masks will be worn by client and practitioner at all times, regardless of vaccination status.

Hand washing will happen upon arrival, before the session work, and after the session ends, at minimum.

I will be taking a COVID-19 test every two weeks. I will encourage my clients to do the same.

We will be practicing in a space that has very low traffic. We will be the only two people in the space during our sessions. I will leave ample time between sessions to disinfect the massage table and any other surfaces that may have been touched in the space.

If you refuse any of these precautions, we may not be able to work together. Additionally, if you observe me failing to meet these precautions, please let me know either in person or via email.

If you have experienced  COVID symptoms such as fever, dry cough, headache,, sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, shortness of breath, body aches/fatigue, or loss of taste/smell, within the past 3 days, do not come in. If you have been symptom free for 3 full days and developed your first symptoms at least 10 days prior, we can discuss setting up a session. However, we will be erring on the side of caution in these cases.

There will be no 24 hour cancellation fee for COVID related cases. But, as much notice as possible is greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to safely working together!

*Because massage therapy involves skin-to-skin contact, I am also taking precautions for the spread of monkeypox. If you have a new or unexplained rash or other symptoms, please cancel and we can reschedule for a later date.

Signs and symptoms of monkeypox can include:

  • Fever

  • Headache

  • Muscle aches and backache

  • Swollen lymph nodes

  • Chills

  • Exhaustion

  • Respiratory symptoms (e.g. sore throat, nasal congestion, or cough)

  • A rash that may be located on or near the genitals (penis, testicles, labia, and vagina) or anus (butthole) but could also be on other areas like the hands, feet, chest, face, or mouth.

    • The rash will go through several stages, including scabs, before healing.

    • The rash can look like pimples or blisters and may be painful or itchy.

You may experience all or only a few symptoms.

  • Sometimes, people get a rash first, followed by other symptoms. Others only experience a rash.

  • Most people with monkeypox will get a rash.

  • Some people have developed a rash before (or without) other symptoms.

Monkeypox symptoms usually start within 3 weeks of exposure to the virus. If someone has flu-like symptoms, they will usually develop a rash 1-4 days later.

Monkeypox can be spread from the time symptoms start until the rash has healed, all scabs have fallen off, and a fresh layer of skin has formed. The illness typically lasts 2-4 weeks.
